Today's Algeria

Algeria is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and Algerians are among the most generous, warm-hearted, and friendly people on earth.  Algeria's post-war challenge to address the overwhelming need for existing infrastructure development with an eye towards attracting foreign tourists and investors has resulted in a number of new projects. Some of these include ultra-modern tourism developments which are currently underway, such as the Bay of Algiers, Colonel Abbes, and the Grand Mosque. Despite this encouraging growth, there still remains a vital need for ongoing private support of often neglected public facilities, particularly in the realms of education and recreation.
